The two main Tuscan airports are the Amerigo Vespucci “Peretola” airport, 7 km north-west of Florence and the Galileo Galilei near Pisa. The new tramway connects Florence Peretola Airport faster to Santa Maria Novella station. Shuttle buses connect Pisa Airport with Florence. From Pisa station trains to Florence leave every 30 minutes. From Pisa Airport there is a tramway connection to Pisa station. HOW TO REACH HOTEL DONATELLO
From Santa Maria Novella station: 8 minutes on foot. Exit towards Piazza Adua. Continue along Largo Alinari and enter Via Nazionale. Follow the street to Piazza Indipendenza. Cross the square to get to Hotel Donatello, at number 23. The hotel can also be reached by taxi or public transport. From the highwayFirenze-Sud exit: Leave the A1 highway and follow the signs for “Centro” and “Viali di Circonvallazione”. In Piazza della Libertà, take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico, then the second street on the left and continue until Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria. Going along it, on your right you will find Piazza Indipendenza. From the highway – Firenze-Ovest exit: Leave the A1 highway and follow the signs for “Centro” and “Viali di Circonvallazione”. After passing Viale Strozzi and the Fortezza da Basso, enter Viale Spartaco Lavagnini. Turn right at the pharmacy, entering Via Santa Caterina d’Alessandria. Going along it, on your right you will find Piazza Indipendenza.
